Tianxiao is a counsel of Haiwen & Partners and joined the Beijing office of Haiwen & Partners in 2016. He has provided specialized legal services in equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate to a multitude of leading internet and technology enterprises, private equity funds, and startups. His expertise particularly lies in the areas of high-tech, semiconductors, new energy, telecommunications, media and technology (TMT), internet culture, and entertainment industries.

In the area of equity financing, Tianxiao has extensively facilitated well-known enterprises and funds in minority equity investments across sectors such as high-tech, hardware technology and manufacturing, new energy, cloud and big data, internet culture, entertainment, online healthcare, new retail, and online education. His expertise encompasses legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and the execution of investor rights. Tianxiao’s Notable public engagements include representing Tencent in investments like Huya Broadcasting, Guangqi Yuan, WAJIJIWA, Yixin Entertainment, Kaochong English, and MiaoShou Doctor, and representing SAIF in investments such as Daguan Data, Thunder Technology, and Sugan Technology.

In the area of mergers and acquisitions, Tianxiao has demonstrated profound experience in assisting clients with the evaluation and design of complex transaction structures, as well as the implementation and execution of transaction arrangements. A highlight of his public engagements includes facilitating Tencent's sale of its animation business to China Literature Group.

In the area of general corporate, Tianxiao also has considerable experience. His recent projects encompass providing legal advisory services to a top international computer conglomerate on its foray into the Chinese gaming market, and providing legal support for the daily operations and compliance matters of various startups in sectors such as cultural entertainment and healthcare.

His clientele also includes Huawei and its affiliated funds, Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME), GL Capital, CMIG, New Horizon, and numerous startups.

It is noteworthy that Tianxiao was seconded to Tencent's Compliance and Transaction Department in Beijing as a legal advisor from June to December 2021, where he provided legal support for Tencent's investment transactions. He is scheduled to be seconded to a prominent healthcare fund as the sole in-house legal advisor from May 2024 to the beginning of the following year, offering comprehensive legal support.

Tianxiao obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Wuhan University in 2015 and a Master of Laws from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2016. He is a licensed attorney in China.
